Hotel History Valbella Resort

The current Valbella Resort is one of the hotels in Lenzerheide that helped shape the development of tourism and the Lenzerheide holiday region. Here is an overview of the most important events throughout more than 40 years of hotel history.

The history of the Valbella Resort begins in 1974, when the then apartment hotel opened its doors to its first guests. At that time, unlike today, the hotel consisted of only one building, the current Tgiasa Principala. The Frauchiger family welcomed the first of its holiday guests who were looking for relaxation surrounded by nature in Lenzerheide.

In response to trends in tourism and with a view to the future, the Tgiasa da Lenn and the Tor da Lenn were built in 2010.

2001 - 2008

The Vogt family took over management of the hotel in 2001. In 2008, the Frauchiger family withdrew completely from the business.

A panoramic hotel known as the Tgiasa Fastatsch was integrated in 2013, neighbouring the existing building. The apartment hotel in the mountains had now become a modern resort.

In the summer of 2022, the Valbella Resort got a makeover: from new junior suites, to a new garage, to a restaurant expansion, to a new exterior design, and many other small highlights.
