Our History

The current Valbella Resort is one of the hotels in Lenzerheide that helped shape the development of tourism and the Lenzerheide holiday region. Here is an overview of the most important events throughout more than 40 years of hotel history.

2024

We are celebrating 50 years of Valbella Resort and looking back on half a century of thrilling adventures, deep emotions and sparkling vacation memories. A heartfelt thank you to our loyal guests who have accompanied us all these years. Your support has always motivated us to become better and better.

2022

In summer 2022, the Valbella Resort received a comprehensive makeover: new junior suites, an extended garage, an enlarged restaurant area, a redesigned outdoor area and many other highlights. The aim was to improve the guest experience, create modern amenities and strengthen the sustainability aspect at the same time.

2013

Adjacent to the existing buildings, the former Hotel Panorama will be integrated and opened as Tgiasa Fastatsch in 2013. This step allowed room capacity to be increased once again. This expansion added the Fastatsch restaurant and a ski valley.

2010

With future tourism trends in mind, the Tgiasa da Lenn and the Tor da Lenn were built in 2010. The hotel, then still known as the Valbella Inn, expanded its room capacity with the Tgiasa da Lenn. The Tor da Lenn created a five-storey wellness area for guests.

2001-2008

In 2001, the Vogt family took over the management of the hotel. In 2008, the Frauchiger family finally withdrew from the business altogether.

1974

1974 marks the beginning of the history of the Valbella Resort, when the original aparthotel opened its doors to guests for the first time. Back then, the hotel consisted of just one building, today's Tgiasa Principala.

2022

A warm welcome to your home in the Grisons Mountains. The check-in is located centrally in the Tgiasa Principala, our main building. This is where our holiday advisors will greet you and explain all of the details about your stay.

The garage at Tgiasa Principala has 52 parking spaces and 13 e-charging stations (NovaVolt, Typ 2). It also houses the bike depot with sockets for the e-bikes.

The ski depot is located right next to the Tgiasa Principala Garage and is easily accessible from our garden. There are personalised ski lockers per room so that your ski utensils do not get lost.

Wine cellar

On the way from Tgiasa Principala to Tgiasa da Lenn through the tunnel is our wine cellar. In it, over 150 exquisite wines from Switzerland and Europe are waiting to be discovered by you.
